Our 3rd party billing provider has identified the issue and implemented a fix and are currently monitoring the recovery. We are seeing indications of system recovery on our end as well, and the ability to upgrade to paid plans has been restored. We will continue to monitor the situation and give an update within the next 30 minutes.

We are currently experiencing issues with our 3rd party billing provider which is intermittently affecting various billing related actions (upgrading to paid plans, retrieving billing information, etc). The provider has acknowledged the incident and the cause is currently under investigation. We are monitoring the situation closely and will share an update within 30 minutes.
