Beginning February 7, 2020, Bitly will no longer support outdated versions of Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption protocols, specifically TLS 1.0 and 1.1. If you’re running on an old version of Java or other library that does not support TLS 1.2, you may run into Bitly API errors. Update to the latest encryption protocols to ensure Bitly API-enabled workflows are not impacted.
